Kids Ministry Assistant IThe Kids Ministry Assistant I works with the broader Athey Kids Ministry team and is responsible for supporting the vision, development, and execution of the Kids Ministry program.Required Experience & KnowledgeAgree to ACC's doctrinal distinctive and vision as found in our What We Believe/Vision StatementFulfill the character qualifications of a deacon as taught in scripturePossess strong written and verbal interpersonal communication skillsDemonstrate kindness, humility, and self-awareness in interactions with othersA love and calling toward ministry to children and familiesAbility to adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing, dynamic environmentProven ability to problem-solve and multitaskAttention to detail and ability to follow through on tasks and projectsSelf-motivated with excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skillsDuties & ResponsibilitiesParticipate in weekly staff meetings and special events as neededAssist Athey Kids Coordinator with class preparation and managementHelp with class programing by teaching, instructing games and/or leading worshipWelcome and assist new families with check-in, policies, and questionsAssist in organizing and cleaning of all spaces and equipment in the children's areaAssist in classrooms as neededAssist with campus-wide and events (Harvest party, VBS, etc.) that fall outside regular program hoursActively implement and improve how the vision of Athey Kids is met; to see kids saved, fall in love with Jesus, equipped for a long-term walk, love being at church and have fun.Model the Sustaining Attributes; self-awareness, joy & kindness, work ethic, humility, teachability, flexibilityEngage as part of a team with Athey Creek staff, always being edifying to one anotherAll other duties as assigned
