Certified as a Great Place to Work and as a Top Employer, we're dedicated to fostering a positive and supportive environment for all!SummaryThe Forklift Operator will perform shipping & receiving duties; break down freight and categorize by location; read and document pack-slips and Bills of Lading (BOL’s); load and unload freight by hand and via forklift; perform general warehouse duties as needed following terminal specific requirements and Standard Operating Procedures.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesSuccessfully complete Forklift Training Certification programLoad and unload trucksStock inventoryPalletizeScan the Inbound and Outbound trucks when they load and unloadLog in the drivers on the Driver Log; log in the seal numbers on the Seal LogComplete daily forklift checklistDuties may include reassignment to alternate operational areas as business needs requireEssential duties are not necessarily exhaustive and may be supplemented or otherwise revised by DHL at its sole discretionEducation And/Or ExperienceHigh School or equivalent training and/or least 6 months related experience preferredRequirements/SkillsAbility to speak EnglishUnderstand and carry out oral instructions; read and carry out written instructions; tickets, receiving, Bills of Lading (BOLs), graphs, logs, schedulesEstimate speed of moving objectsCount, use simple addition and subtractionOperate industrial equipment including forklifts, and pallet jacksContact with other departments or people outside of this mail terminal on routine affairs, exchanging necessary information on a service or cooperative basisPhysical DemandsWalk, push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs.
