Job Title Service Manager Location Florissant, MO About Us Clement Pre-Owned Florissant is a busy pre-owned dealership serving Florissant and the surrounding St. Louis area. Our service operation supports retail customers as well as internal reconditioning, with a focus on quality work, efficient throughput, and a straightforward, professional customer experience. Position Overview We’re hiring a Service Manager to lead day-to-day service department operations, drive profitability, and deliver a consistent, high-quality customer experience. This role owns workflow, staffing, training, process adherence, and performance metrics across advisors, technicians, and support staff—ensuring the shop runs efficiently while maintaining strong repair quality and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Lead all service department operations, including customer service, shop flow, and internal reconditioning Hire, coach, and develop advisors and technicians; set expectations and hold the team accountable Manage dispatch and scheduling to maximize productivity, efficiency, and cycle time Drive key metrics: effective labor rate, hours per RO, gross profit, comeback rate, and CSI Ensure accurate RO write-ups, estimates, approvals, and documentation from start to finish Partner with Parts to ensure timely ordering, availability, and accurate billing Oversee internal work and recon schedules to support inventory readiness and sales delivery timelines Resolve escalations professionally and protect long-term customer relationships Maintain a safe, organized shop environment and enforce policy and procedure compliance Monitor payroll, overtime, and departmental expenses to meet budget and performance goals Qualifications 3+ years of automotive service leadership experience (Service Manager, Shop Foreman, or Senior Advisor leadership) Strong understanding of advisor process, technician dispatch, warranty/repair documentation, and parts coordination Proven ability to improve performance metrics and maintain high repair quality Experience managing internal reconditioning workflow in a dealership environment preferred Comfortable using dealership systems (DMS), inspection tools, and reporting dashboards Strong communication, customer-resolution, and team leadership skills Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record Why Join Us Stable, high-demand environment with consistent work volume Leadership role with real influence over process, team performance, and customer experience Collaborative dealership culture focused on operational execution and accountability Opportunity to grow a service department built on quality, speed, and professionalism Benefits Competitive compensation plan Health coverage options (medical, dental, vision) Paid time off and holidays Retirement savings plan (401(k) options) Employee discounts and dealership perks Ongoing training and professional development How to Apply Submit your resume and a brief summary of your service leadership experience through the platform where you found this posting.
