AM Line CookDynamo Room is a new steak house located at the recently developed Penn Station District in Manhattan.The raw bar & grill is the newest project from Sunday Hospitality (Rule of Thirds, Sunday In Brooklyn, Cafe Chelsea, Hotel Chelsea Lobby Bar, El Quijote, Bedford Post Inn), opening in March 2025.We are currently hiring for all positions in FOH and BOH, with positions starting in March.We are assembling a fantastic team for our new restaurant opening, and we’d love for you to be part of this exciting opportunity! What We OfferWe offer a competitive wage, alongside a 401(k) retirement plan, PTO, and a full medical, dental, and vision insurance package.About This RoleThe Line Cook is responsible for ensuring that the culinary & operating standards of the Sunday Hospitality are executed. They need to be well versed in the menu and food offerings of the SHG outlets and know how to cook and plate dishes in a timely manner. They also need to be familiar with and drive sanitation regulations, as well as showcase those standards within the operation.Specific job duties include, but are not limited to:Prepares menu items following recipes and yield guides, according to standards set by the chefRestocks ingredients and items that were depleted during the shiftMaintains sanitation standards of the kitchenInspects cleanliness and organization of the line and workstations, rectifying any deficienciesWhat You BringMinimum of 1+ years’ experience as a cook in a high-volume restaurantCulinary Art Degree preferredNYC Food Protection Certificate (Food Handler’s) requiredA passion for excellence in hospitalityA team player attitude, willing to help out wherever necessaryThe ability to thrive in a high pressure, fast paced environmentFlexible work schedules: the ability to work night, weekends, holidays, as business permitsThe ability to lift, carry, push, or pull heavy objects, up to 50lbsKneel, bend, or stoop, ascend or descend stairs; be on feet for extended periods of timeSHG Hospitality is an equal opportunity employer.
