Job role: Regional Sales ManagerLocation: Dallas, TX, OR Arkansas.Relocation is providedFulltime, Direct Hire.Summary: The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) directly sells products and services to "food" customers/prospects in a geographically defined region to achieve defined sales goals. The RSM is responsible for managing the complete sales process including, but not limited to, prospecting, reporting, quoting, and closing business in accordance with sales budget.Time Utilization: This position will travel up to 80% with the remainder of the time being spent in the office to ensure proper preparation and follow-up. Normal business hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Schedule needs to be flexible to accommodate travel, customer needs, trade shows, meetings, and customer schedules.Must-HavesSales Experience: 5+ years direct, capital equipment sales experience, ideally selling into manufacturing, packaging or processingLead generation through trade shows, industry meetings, networking, and cold-callingExtensive technical knowledge with capital equipment machinery and functionality.Experience with long, complex sales cycle with numerous stakeholders, ideally in manufacturing, processing or packagingLocation: Must be within reasonable driving distance of a major airport in either Dallas/Fort Worth or Arkansas. Open to relocation.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Identify potential sales opportunities with existing customers and new prospects by conducting customer site visits, following up on leads provided by the company, and by other prospecting methods as appropriate.Provide all necessary information and documentation for the completion of sales proposals and orders. Prepare detailed proposals/quotes according to customer requirements. Take responsibility for managing customer expectations as they relate to the order process.Leverage resources such as CRM, marketing tools, demonstration facilities, and support staff to further the sales process.Maintain updated and thorough CRM data.Monitor and report competitive activity in territory and elsewhere.Operate within annual expense budget and achieve or exceed individual sales targets. Participate in sales budget planning.Participate in trade shows, sales meetings, industry meetings, and other activities as directed.Serve as an active student of the industry and sales profession.Develop and execute business plan for respective territory.Education/Experience:Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or other related discipline and four years sales or related experience in one or more of the following: capital equipment, packaging solutions or materials, or other related industry productsCertificates and Licenses:Current valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a passport for travel as required by position.Supervisory Responsibilities:This job has no supervisory responsibilities.Work Environment:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.
