FabricatorSummaryAs a Fabricator, you will be responsible for assembling and constructing metal products by cutting, grinding, polishing, and welding materials according to specifications. You should be highly skilled in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints, as well as experienced in handling a variety of metal fabrication tools, equipment, and machinery.Essential Functions Communication. Must show commitment to providing exceptional customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction.Primary ResponsibilitiesSet up welding machines based on the job at hand or using a Welding Procedure SpecificationRead and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine the specific welding requirementsPrepare materials for welding, cuts, grinds and clean metal.TIG/MIG weld steel, aluminum and stainless-steel components based on the specifications of the blueprints and/or drawingsEnsuring that all components are properly built, aligned, and fastened.Verifying dimensions and product specifications.Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given taskFollow all safety rules and quality standardsWork with team members to maximize productivity and efficiencyOther job-related tasks as assignedKnowledge and Skill RequirementsAssociates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and training preferredExperience with steel, aluminum and/or stainless steel is preferredExperience with TIG welding highly preferredAbility to lift heavy items up to 60 pounds consistentlyAbility to identify and measure materialWillingness to learn and have a dependable work ethicAbility to read blueprints, drawings, calipers, tape measures and angle gaugesAbility to stand continuously for long periods of time
