Job Description: Job Description Key Responsibilities Test Design & Execution: Create detailed test plans, scenarios, and scripts, particularly for complex, end-to-end batch processes. Data Validation: Run and validate batch jobs, DB2 queries, and file-to-file comparisons. Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA, Quality Center, or similar. Environment Management: Utilize TSO/ISPF commands, manage datasets, and use File-AID for data manipulation. Analysis: Review COBOL/PL1 code, analyze JCL for failures (abends), and check spool logs for root cause analysis. Required Technical Skills Core Mainframe: JCL (Job Control Language), COBOL, DB2, CICS, VSAM. Utilities & Debugging: File-AID, Expeditor, SPUFI, ChangeMan. Domain: Knowledge of banking, insurance, or retail systems is often preferred. Methodologies: Agile, DevOps (CI/CD pipelines), and risk-based testing. Mandatory Skills: Mainframe . Experience: 5-8 Years . The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $135,000 . Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience.
