Shift Manager Operations

Location: Mansfield, OHCleveland-Cliffs, Mansfield Works operation has an immediate opening for a Shift Manager Operations. The Shift Manager will be responsible for supervising and directing the activities of operating employees in the department. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, organized, willing to work a rotating schedule, work weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment.Summary Of ResponsibilitiesMaintain supervisory control over work activities of the crewSchedule equipment and manpowerConduct daily/monthly safety meetingsAssist in the development, review, and update of JSHA’s (Job Safety and Health Analysis) to eliminate safety hazardsOther duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications2-5 years’ prior supervisory experience of industrial/manufacturing experienceAbility to lead and motivate employeesHigh school diploma or GED equivalentAvailable to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, in a multi-level organization that operates 24/7, and work extended hours as neededPreferred QualificationsAssociate or Bachelor degree in a related fieldKnowledge of melting, casting, or rolling steel or other metalsExperience in a union environmentCleveland-Cliffs Inc. is the largest flat-rolled steel company and the largest iron ore pellet producer in North America.
