We don’t take this for granted, and every person in our team is key to ensuring more people who would benefit from assistive technology can access it. The roleWe are seeking a skilled and passionate individual to join our team as a Trainer & Curriculum Content Specialist supporting the use of our products, particularly the Grid for Schools offer, so more children and young people have a voice and achieve their goals. This role involves reaching schools and nurturing relationships with them, developing educational content and delivering training sessions to educators across the United States, aimed at enhancing accessibility and learning outcomes through assistive technology. This role would also involve developing training content for the Smartbox Academy (our online learning management system) - contributing to its growth and supporting the delivery of online workshops.This role will be the education specialist within a growing sales team. Your expertise and knowledge will drive forward the development and sales of the Grid for Schools product in the US market and will play a key role in building relationships across school districts with key decision-makers.Key ResponsibilitiesSales:Account Management - working alongside Product Specialists, lead on the account management for schools implementing the Grid for Schools package. Be their go-to person for success, demonstrating your understanding of the school and classroom environment, its challenges and identify ways to drive forward implementation.Product knowledge – Use your product knowledge to support demonstrations of Grid software and the Grid for Schools package.Curriculum knowledge – Use your knowledge of the curriculum and teaching and learning to deliver product demonstrations that identify how Grid software and the Grid for Schools package can support learners within schools and contribute towards achieving curriculum goals.Driving success - work openly with teams across the Smartbox Group, including Training and Marketing, to ensure support to the US market and contribute to the KPIs for growth in this area. Grid for Schools:Development – support the ongoing development of the Grid for Schools package by contributing to the creation of classroom resources that are relevant and in line with state standards.Evidence-based –ensure that resources created are grounded in educational best practice and pedagogy.Collaboration – work with the Product Manager – Education to support the delivery of an ongoing program of resources for schools.Data handling - gather data to measure success and areas for improvement for both individual schools and the training offered to the US market. Market intelligence - provide feedback from schools and sales teams to relevant internal teams on requests/needs of customers. Training:Quality – delivery of in-person and virtual training that is of a consistently high standard. Lead on the delivery of the Grid for Schools virtual training sessions for the US market.Feedback – Ensure that you gather feedback on training through post-training evaluations and use this to inform future updates and course development. Share feedback and recommendations with the Head of Training.Content authoring – Support the ongoing development of courses for Smartbox Academy, our online learning platform. Ensure your content is in line with guidelines for training development and of a consistently high standard.Liaise with the Head of Training to identify relevant and appropriate courses to contribute to support the US market. Essential skillsBachelor or advanced degree.Prior experience in curriculum development, educational training, or instructional design, particularly in the context of assistive technology.Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the capacity to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.Ability to listen attentively to customer inquiries and concerns and resolve them.Ability to multi-task and work comfortably in a dynamic, change-driven environment.Useful skillsFamiliarity with the U.S. education system and educational technology landscape is desirable. Willingness to travel to different locations for training sessions and workshops.Additional InformationThis position is remote and for U.S.-based applicants, but may require travel to Smartbox Inc. and Ltd.
