Yardman, 0-12 mos

PURPOSE:The Yardman/Laborer position will be responsible for safely performing the basic tasks required for operations and maintenance of the facility at the Great Falls Refinery. This is a contingent position with full time hours and benefits with a one (1) year probationary period.KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Including but not limited to the following:Follow proper safety rules and operating procedures to support zero tolerance safety objectives.Climb ladders, tanks vesselsLifting continuously throughout the dayTurning valvesLoading trucks and railcars with productVarious maintenance duties throughout the plantOperating a variety of equipment in accordance with all policies, regulations, and safety proceduresWorking in diverse environments such as confined spaces, heights, and storage tanksComplete and maintain required daily paperworkAssist refinery personnel as directedREQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES:High School Diploma or Equivalent required.Must be able to work in a rotating (days/nights)12-hour shift to include weekends, holidays and overtime as necessary (Hands On) outside in all weather conditions.Must have a valid driver's license.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to lift, push, and pull 75 or more poundsAble to climb on and off towers, ascend and descend ladders, and should not have a fear of heightsOccasionally work in areas outside of normal duties as requiredAbility to wear a respirator as needed for tasksCOMPETENCIES:3-5 years of industrial experience preferredAbility to follow written and/or verbal instructionsEnvironmental & Safety awarenessCooperates and works well with others in either one-on-one or group situationsContributes actively to team objectives, takes on responsibilities and is responsible for actionsAbility to pass pre-employment screenings, including aptitude tests, drug screen and background checkDemonstration of Calumet Values - Safety, Environment & Social Responsibility, Teamwork, Ownership, Passion for Customers, and Excellence
