Senior Associate Attorney, Litigation

ApplyJob TypeFull-timeDescriptionJOB SUMMARY:The Senior Associate represents mortgage lenders and investor clients in complex commercial and residential foreclosure, title disputes, and real estate litigation matters throughout Texas. This role includes handling both routine and contested matters, making appearances in state and federal court, developing case strategy, drafting pleadings, and negotiating resolutions. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in Texas default servicing, including non-judicial foreclosure, judicial foreclosure, and deceased debtor matters, and is capable of independently managing a high-volume, complex caseload.Duties & ResponsibilitiesManage case load of contested matters on behalf of residential and commercial mortgage lenders and investors.Appear in court and argue motions necessary to the successful completion of both routine and contested foreclosure, eviction, title disputes, HOA/COA disputes and other matters.Communicate with clients regularly for updates and case resolution.Analyze loan files, title reports and other client documents. Draft motions and prepare written discovery and responses.Education & Work Experience J.D. degree, licensed in Texas and in good standing with the Texas Bar6+ years of experience in Texas default servicing and foreclosure litigationDemonstrated experience with non-judicial foreclosure, judicial foreclosure, and deceased debtor mattersKnowledge of Texas Mortgage Foreclosure LawKnowledge of Texas Code of Civil Procedure and Supreme Court RulesPrevious experience with foreclosure litigation involving residential and commercial propertyKnowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesEffectively manage time and prioritiesStrong writing skillsAbility to effectively communicate written and oralAbility to work independently or in a group/team settingAbility to maintain high level of professionalismAbility to interact and communicate well with clients, staff, peers and management of all levelsPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
