Senior DeltaV Engineer

Job Description Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior DeltaV Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and delivery of large-scale capital automation projects within the Life Sciences industry. This role is responsible for managing complete project lifecycles, from system architecture and design through commissioning and validation. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise with Emerson DeltaV systems, strong knowledge of cGMP-compliant environments, and a proven ability to collaborate across engineering, validation, and manufacturing teams to optimize biopharmaceutical and medical device production processes. Key Responsibilities Automation Engineering & System DesignLead the design and implementation of Emerson DeltaV automation control systems for complex Life Sciences capital projects.Develop scalable class-based configurations supporting standardized and repeatable automation solutions.Design and configure DeltaV Live and DeltaV Operate environments.Apply ISA-101 HMI standards and high-performance graphic design principles.Implement ISA-88 batch processing methodologies. Project LeadershipLead full project lifecycles including:Requirements definitionSystem designConfigurationFactory Acceptance Testing (FAT)Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)Commissioning and validation support.Manage project schedules, scope, resources, and technical deliverables to ensure on-time and within-budget execution.Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders including manufacturing, validation, quality, and external vendors. Compliance & ValidationEnsure automation solutions comply with:GAMP5cGMP standards21 CFR Part 11 regulatory requirements.Support documentation development including design specifications, functional specifications, and validation deliverables. Advanced Control & Data SystemsImplement historian solutions and advanced control strategies.Support integration of automation systems into broader manufacturing and enterprise platforms.Optimize performance, data integrity, and system scalability. Requirements Required Qualifications EducationBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Experience8-15 years of automation and control systems engineering experience within the Life Sciences industry.Demonstrated stable work history with progressive engineering responsibility.Proven experience delivering full lifecycle automation projects. Technical ExpertiseExtensive hands-on Emerson DeltaV experience including:System designConfigurationImplementationCommissioning.Proficiency with:DeltaV LiveDeltaV Operate.Expertise in:ISA-101 HMI design and high-performance graphics.ISA-88 batch processing methodologies.Historian solutions and advanced control strategies.Experience building scalable class-based configurations.
