Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking *Carpenter / Truss Assembler* to join our production team. This position is responsible for assembling roof and floor trusses, working from blueprints and layout drawings, and using a variety of hand and power tools to accurately construct building components.
The ideal candidate has experience in *carpentry, framing, residential construction, truss assembly, or general construction*. Candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on construction experience are encouraged to apply. Attention to detail, the ability to work safely, and a strong work ethic are essential.
Responsibilities
* Assemble roof and floor trusses according to blueprints, shop drawings, and production specifications
* Read and interpret construction drawings, measurements, and basic diagrams
* Measure, cut, position, and secure lumber and other building materials
* Operate pneumatic nail guns, saws, drills, impact drivers, and other hand and power tools
* Properly position lumber and components on truss tables or assembly stations
* Install metal plates, fasteners, braces, and other truss components
* Inspect completed trusses for proper dimensions, alignment, and workmanship
* Identify and correct assembly issues before products move to the next stage
* Safely move and handle lumber and finished trusses
* Maintain a clean and organized work area
* Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements
* Meet daily production and quality expectations
* Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
* Perform other construction and production duties as assigned
Qualifications
* Previous experience in *carpentry, framing, truss assembly, construction, or manufacturing* preferred
* Ability to read a tape measure and accurately perform basic measurements
* Basic understanding of construction practices and building materials
* Comfortable using hand and power tools
* Ability to read basic blueprints, drawings, or production diagrams
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
* Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
* Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
Physical Requirements
* Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work for extended periods
* Ability to repeatedly lift and move lumber and building materials
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
* Ability to work around sawdust, noise, and typical manufacturing/construction conditions
* Ability to safely operate and work around production equipment

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
