This role combines strong engineering expertise with client engagement, technical product support, and project collaboration.The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted technical advisor to agencies and engineering firms, ensuring proper application, integration, and compliance of traffic control and ITS products within transportation projects.This position offers an opportunity to work at the intersection of engineering innovation, public infrastructure, and emerging transportation technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide technical engineering support on the proper application of traffic control devices and ITS productsCollaborate with public agencies, consulting engineers, and contractors to integrate appropriate traffic and ITS products into project designsReview construction plans and project specifications to apply product solutions.Evaluate product compliance with project requirements, agency standards, and industry regulationsMaintain working knowledge of evolving transportation technologies, standards, and best practicesDeliver product presentations and technical trainings.Support internal sales and operations teams with technical expertise and project guidanceStay current with industry standards including MUTCD, ITE, and applicable State DOT requirementsAttend industry conferences, manufacturer training, and professional development eventsQualificationsBachelor's degree in civil engineering (Transportation emphasis preferred)Minimum of 3 years of experience in traffic or transportation engineeringStrong knowledge of traffic signal timing, ITS devices, and roadway communication systemsExcellent presentation, written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projectsSelf-motivated and client-focused professional mindsetPreferred ExperienceExperience working with State DOTs, municipalities, or transportation consulting firmsFamiliarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office SuitePrevious experience supporting manufacturer products or providing technical sales support is a plusWhat We OfferCompetitive base salary with performance-based incentivesComprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchProfessional development and continuing education supportVehicle allowance or mileage reimbursementOpportunity to work with innovative and industry-leading transportation technologiesCollaborative, growth-oriented team environmentPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit, stand, walk, and perform repetitive hand tasks.Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.Visual abilities required: close, distance, and color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
