Job Description Warehouse Lead – $35/hrLocation: OaklandShift: GraveyardPay: $35.00 per hourOverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and dependable Warehouse Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations, support team productivity, and maintain a safe, efficient workflow. The ideal candidate is experienced in logistics, forklift operations, inventory management, and team coordination. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. ResponsibilitiesLead and oversee daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, picking, packing, and staging.Assign tasks, guide team members, and ensure workflow is running smoothly throughout the shift.Train new employees on equipment, SOPs, safety, and productivity standards.Operate forklifts (Stand-Up, Sit-Down, EPJ) to support warehouse operations as needed.Monitor inbound/outbound freight and ensure accurate documentation (BOLs, pick tickets, pallet tags).Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock rotation, and system updates.Communicate with supervisors, dispatch, and production teams to coordinate priorities.Troubleshoot issues related to freight, equipment, or staffing during the shift.Enforce all safety standards, PPE requirements, and warehouse policies.Ensure cleanliness, organization, and compliance within all warehouse zones. Requirements3+ years of warehouse experience; 1–2 years in a lead or supervisory role preferred.Proficient in Sit-Down, Stand-Up, and EPJ operation (certification preferred).Strong knowledge of shipping/receiving, inventory practices, and warehouse systems.Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.Solid communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Ability to coach team members and hold them accountable to performance standards.Reliable, punctual, and able to work overtime when needed.
