Mechanical Assembler

SUMMARY Under the supervision of the Production Supervisor and direction of the Production and Line leads, the Assembler shall be responsible for using components to produce goods, products, and other objects according to specifications. The role emphasizes continuous improvement, accountability, and productivity in support of company objectives. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES All employees work to satisfy the customer. Duties & Responsibilities Read and adhere to blueprints, travelers, work instructions, specifications, and other instructions to build, assemble and test parts in an accurate and timely fashion Examine components and assemblies for correct fit Interpret measurements within designated parameters Document actions by completing production and quality forms (including electronically) Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations Keep equipment operational by completing preventative maintenance requirements as required Support continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies and actively participating in problem-solving and process enhancements Regularly follow all safety policies and procedures Adhere to established regulatory compliance, industry certification, and Quality Management System requirements Serve as a positive ambassador culture and values All other duties as assigned Assembler I Behavioral Must have potential to advance to Assembler II Applies a positive attitude to situations Listens and acts on direction accordingly Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results Troubleshooting/Problem Solving: Ability to identify issues within the scope of the task Difficult conversations: Ability to accept constructive feedback in a professional manner Communication: Basic communication skills focusing on tasks Reliability: Absences or tardiness are within defined limits Demonstrated Competence Basic mathematical skills such as the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide General knowledge of the metric system Basic understanding of task-specific assembly techniques Product Knowledge: Just learning product function and cross-trained on a variety of lines Set-up Responsibilities: Ability to set up utilizing set up instructions Product Testing: Ability to test after 90 days of employment or equivalent Aptitude: Learns new assignments with repetition and retains most procedures once learned Education and/or Experience High School degree or GED Basic data entry ability Previous assembly experience preferred, but not required Pay: $16.50 - $18.50 per hour Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insurance Work Location: In person
