Safety, Security, and Risk Administrator

The QTI Group is partnering with Lakeshore College to hire a Safety, Security and Risk Administrator to lead campus-wide safety, security and risk management programs. This is a newly created role with the opportunity to build, formalize, and champion a comprehensive safety culture across the technical college environment. This position is ideal for someone with experience in risk management, environmental health and safety (EHS), insurance or public safety who enjoys autonomy, collaboration, and program development.Reporting to the Executive Director of Facilities, the Safety, Security & Risk Administrator serves as the college’s subject matter expert for safety, security, insurance and enterprise risk. This role works independently and cross-functionally, influencing decisions that directly impact campus safety, compliance and financial protection.Safety & Security Leadership (70%)Develop, implement, and continuously improve College-wide safety and security programsEnsure compliance with OSHA/DSPS, EPA, DNR, ADA, Clery Act, and other regulatory requirementsChair the Safety & Security Committee and lead campus safety initiativesConduct safety audits and risk assessments; lead corrective and preventative actionsPrepare and publish the Annual Security ReportDevelop and deliver safety and risk training for employees and studentsReview and update Business Continuity PlansServe as a calm, confident presence when diffusing complex or high-pressure situationsManage access control and security camera systemsRisk Management & Insurance (30%)Serve as the College’s primary point of contact for risk management and insurance mattersLead annual insurance renewals and administer coverage (casualty, liability, workers’ comp, property, crime, etc.)Review vendor contracts and advise on acceptable terms & conditions in partnership with legal and insurance teamsManage certificates of insurance and support claims processesRepresent the College in system-wide risk management meetingsServe on the Incident Management Team during emergencies or critical eventsQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), Risk Management and Insurance, Business, or a related field required\4-5 years of progressively responsible experience in risk management, insurance, EHS, or a related fieldsExperience in higher education, public sector, or similar multi-site environments preferred; experience as a Wisconsin Law Enforcement Officer is a plus!Experience developing or leading organization-level risk and safety programsDeep understanding of insurance, risk mitigation, and EHS regulationsCertifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), or similar credentials preferredConfidence working independently and making informed decisionsStrong interpersonal, communication, organizational and time-management skills with a customer-first focusSalary Range: $75,504 - $88,837Location: Cleveland, WisconsinFull-time Benefits HighlightsCompetitive health, dental, and vision insurance | Up to $3,000 in tuition reimbursement annually | Professional development and growth opportunities | 7.2% Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS) savings - matched dollar for dollar | 403(b) and 457 retirement savings options | Paid life and disability insurance | Health and dependent care Flex Spending Accounts | Onsite fitness center and walking path | Up to 8 weeks paid New Child Leave | Paid grandparent leave I Relocation assistance availableLakeshore also offers generous paid time off starting with 10 days of vacation, 9 days of sick time, 6 days of personal leave,10 holidays, and a one-week winter break.Additional Perks: Local discounts on food, entertainment, and events | Discounts on cell phone plans and rental cars | Common Read events | Culinary experiences from onsite emerging chefs | Identity theft protection | “Dress for your day” | Employee recognition and appreciation events | Campus closed six Fridays during the summerBenefits begin the first of the month coinciding with or following hire.
