Cisco Network Lab Technician

We are seeking a Junior Cisco Network Lab Technician to support the setup, organization, and maintenance of lab environments used for network testing and validation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who is interested in networking and data center infrastructure and wants to gain hands-on experience working with enterprise hardware.Key Responsibilities:Assist with racking, stacking, and cabling lab equipment including routers, switches, and serversSupport setup of Cisco devices such as Nexus 9000/3000 switches and UCS serversHelp configure and connect Rack equipment following provided diagrams and instructionsAssist in setting up console and management access using terminal servers and TORPerform basic troubleshooting of cabling, connectivity, and hardware issuesLabel and organize cables, racks, and equipment to maintain a clean lab environmentReceive, unpack, and inventory incoming equipment; track assets and assist with organizationFollow established procedures to build lab setups based on topologies and elevation diagramsAssist with running basic scripts (Python/Ansible) for lab tasks and automationMaintain accurate documentation of lab setups and changesRequired Qualifications:Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP addressing, VLANs, switching/routing fundamentals)Interest in hands-on work with hardware and lab environmentsFamiliarity with cabling and physical setup (or willingness to learn)Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructionsGood communication and teamwork skillsPreferred Qualifications:Exposure to Cisco networking equipment (Nexus, routers, switches)Familiarity with traffic generators (Ixia, Spirent) or lab toolsBasic experience with Python or AnsiblePrevious internship, coursework, or lab experience in networking or IT
