OBJECTIVES:
Identify optimal systems, tools and methodologies needed for the manufacturing of hemp related products. Gain consensus internally to implement improvements in the production of products. Monitor and measure improvements striving for continuous process improvement as measured by on-time delivery. Institutionalize improvements to achieve 99%+ on-time delivery.
SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE NEEDED:
6+ years in small to medium sized scaled production of manufactured CPG products. In-depth understanding of how to identify planning, purchasing, inventory, production and QC systems and tools needed to meet THC’s forecasted rapid growth, ability to implement these tools and the continuous improvement discipline to monitor and adjust as needed to seek daily incremental improvement. Experience managing outsourced production as well as establishing a collaborative working relation with in-house manufacturing.
IMPLEMENT a functional CRP, MRP and WMS system to accurately and consistently schedule, purchase, produce and delivery on-time
DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT an easily understood visual re-order system to maintain adequate inventory levels at all times (KANBAN)
CATERGORIZE SPEND, SOURCE SUPPLIERS AND DEVELOP supplier vetting process to identify the best available supplier in category
CREATE AN RFP and gain understanding internally on how to develop terms with maximum benefit to the company
NEGOTIATE terms with each vetted supplier in category to achieve optimal benefit conveyance from supplier to company
WORK with production and shipping to achieve 99%+ on-time delivery of product
DATA MANAGEMENT, own the product data residing in the MPR and WMS systems
AID new product development resources to accurately price and implement new products into our systems
DEVELOP AND MANAGE SUPPLIER SCORECARDS, develop supplier KPI and institutionalize a scorecard system to accurately track and monitor supplier performance, hold quarterly reviews with key suppliers to communicate performance.
OWN any supplier defects, ensure non-conforming suppliers preform and provide a root cause analysis with defined corrective actions they will take ensuring defects are not repeated
PERFORM additional duties as needed and directed
