Web Engineer - React, Next.JS, Golang

Term: 6 MonthsRate: £650pd (Inside iR35 if UK based)Location: Fully RemoteDigitech are looking for a skilled Web Engineer with experience in React, Next.JS and Golang, on a 6-month extendable contract, to work on a project for a globally recognised tech brand.You’ll use modern frontend technologies to build scalable, high-performance web applications that are accessible, maintainable, and user focused.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate within a cross-functional product team to design, build, and deliver high-quality web features.Partner closely with backend and mobile developers to integrate APIs and ensure cohesive user experiences across platforms.Contribute to the creation of fast, accessible, and responsive user interfaces.Use modern development tools and frameworks to build scalable front-end architecture.Advocate for and implement best practices in performance, testing, and accessibility.Communicate technical decisions clearly and work collaboratively across disciplines.Skills RequiredProven experience in building responsive, maintainable web UIs with modern JavaScript and frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Next.js).Proven experience with Golang, you will be expected to support the backend/platform team which will involve coding with Go.Solid understanding of web fundamentals—including HTTP, web performance, security, and browser internals.Familiarity with frontend testing techniques and tools (e.g., Webdriver, WebPageTest, or similar).Exposure to accessibility standards and best practices in building inclusive web products.Experience optimising for web performance at scale.
