Environmental Senior Project Manager

ResponsibilitiesEngineering Consulting Services (ECS) is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team. This role is responsible to ensure that all required tasks on a project from proposal to final invoice payment are completed either by themselves or by subordinates. The Senior Project Manager is primarily responsible for the completion and overall success of the project. Senior Project Manager will act as the main point of contact for the client on their projects. The ideal candidate presents a positive customer service attitude and understanding of ECS Core Values.Key ResponsibilitiesActively mentor junior staff and support overall development of the teamAttend project meetings and provide solutions to technical and administrative issues as necessaryMarket our services. Maintain and further develop the client databaseStrong ability to manage project budgets and prepare change orders. Manage your project budgets and oversee project budgets of others as assigned. Review change orders and invoices. Assist with collection effortsScheduling, training and oversight of subordinate staff membersStrong ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.Oversee environmental projects. Assist junior staff with resolution of issues and training of field staff. Responsible for several projects being performed simultaneously.Oversee the preparation and review of proposals and change ordersPrepare environmental reports, perform analysis and provide recommendations. Oversee the preparation and review of environmental reports from junior staffPerform peer/senior review of deliverables prior to submission for Principal reviewHost or attend project discussions with clients, follow up on reports to determine if there are questionsCollaborate with other managers to make staffing decisionsManage asbestos, lead-based paint, mold and indoor air quality assessments.Review daily reports produced by field staff. Perform routine visits to active project sites to ensure appropriate quality and progress. Mentor junior staff as needed. Communicate project completion milestones with client and advise on any significant directional changes.Direct site activities and maintain continuous communication with subordinate field staff and senior managers on several projects concurrentlySolid understanding of sample collection, preparation, preservation and laboratory submission regulations and guidelines.Independently prepare reports to be reviewed by a Principal. Review reports that are completed by subordinates prior to Principal review. Lead client meetings and or calls to present/discuss report findings and conclusions.Extensive knowledge of federal, state and local environmental regulations and guidelines and their implications on findings and conclusions in studies.Communicate with junior staff to direct field work performed by subcontractors and other ECS technicians and other field staff. Likely will require managing and/or performing multiple projects simultaneously.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsRequired Qualifications* Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or other Engineering degree applicable to Environmental Consulting, Natural or Environmental Science, Geology, or other degree relevant to the practice of Environmental Consulting.* Minimum 5 years of related experience* Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) license preferredSkills and AbilitiesExtensive knowledge of environmental principles and applications.Extensive knowledge of permitting processes, environmental regulations, and environmental test methodsExtensive ability to manage and develop new clients. Seek out opportunities to develop relationships with clients.Review and provide feedback of field and laboratory testing by others.
