Music, Theatre, and Visual Arts Teaching Artist
Nimbus SummerArts is a full-day performing arts camp for children ages 4–10 at our Springfield Ave studio. Each week has its own theme — kids spend the week exploring it through dance, theater, singing, and art — and every Friday the whole camp performs for families.Led by professional Teaching Artists. Capped at 20 kids per group. Real costumes, real lights, real stage.https://schoolofnimbus.org/summerartssummit Music Teacher (activity specialist) - create and teach an enriching curriculum for Music including: warm ups, technique, lyrics and vocals for songs to be performed. Classes will be no more than 20 students as well as 1-2 assigned Leaders in Training for support (LIT). Collaborate with other teaching artists to create a final performance that will include all students. Maintain daily surveillance of campers and report any signs of mistreatment or abuse to the camp director. Theatre Teacher (activity specialist) - create and teach an enriching curriculum for Theatre including: warm ups, technique, scenes and lines to be performed. Classes will be no more than 20 students as well as 1-2 assigned Leaders in Training for support (LIT). Collaborate with other teaching artists to create a final performance that will include all students. Maintain daily surveillance of campers and report any signs of mistreatment or abuse to the camp director. Arts and Crafts Teacher (activity specialist) - create and teach an enriching curriculum for Arts and Crafts including: techniques, thematic context, and projects to be used during performance. Classes will be no more than 20 students as well as 1-2 assigned Leaders in Training for support (LIT). Collaborate with other teaching artists to create a final performance that will include all students. Maintain daily surveillance of campers and report any signs of mistreatment or abuse to the camp director. All Staff must pass a background check and Sex offender registry check.
