All layoff applicants should contact their Employment Advisor.Reassignment Applicants: Eligible Reassignment clients should contact their Disability Counselor for assistance.This posting will remain open until a successful candidate has been identified.DESCRIPTIONUnder general supervision by the ED/Inpatient Social Work Director, Transitional Support Team Clinical Social Worker (CSW) provides clinical social work services consisting of discharge planning, continuing care services, crisis intervention, mandated reporting, information and referral, and coordination of health and mental health services with community providers. The primary function of this role is to provide clinical assessments of patients with substance use disorder, assess for change readiness, and introduce them to treatment settings, including withdrawal management, outpatient care, inpatient care, and programs that provide medications for addiction treatment (MAT). After assessment, CSW will provide appropriate clinical referrals and assist with appointments and other linkages. The primary location for this position will be Hillcrest, but there will be a requirement to float to our East Campus location as needed.Depending on experience of the selected candidate, this position will be hired at the Clinical Social Worker II or III level.While not required, a cover letter is highly recommended when applying to this position.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSA Master's degree from an accredited school of social work (MSW).Minimum two (2) years of post-MSW Social Work experience is required to be hired at level II.Must possess the knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Must be able to work within a team environment.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSCalifornia LCSW license (must have this certification to be hired at level III).Proven clinical training and/or work experience in the acute care, inpatient setting.Experience working with patients with substance use disorder and is familiar with local resources. Motivational Interviewing experience a plus.Work experience in acute, inpatient setting and/or emergency department.SPECIAL CONDITIONSThe pay scale for the CSW2 (2+ years post-MSW experience) is $93,062-$122,628. The pay scale for the CSW3 (with California LCSW) is $104,420-$137,578.Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.Pay Transparency ActAnnual Full Pay Range: $93,062 - $122,628 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $44.57 - $58.73 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
