Public Safety Ambassador

The City of Peachtree Corners has an exciting opportunity for you!With its growth in popularity, the Peachtree Corners Town Center is becoming a magnet for bad actors and troublemakers. We are creating an additional monitoring resource to assist the City and the Marshal’s Office. We're looking to hire part-time Peachtree Corners Public Safety Ambassadors (PCPSA) who possess great communication skills and a passion for serving others. While this position is not in law enforcement, Public Safety Ambassadors may be the first point of contact for those looking for assistance. The PCPSA program will continue to support our vibrant downtown community by providing hospitality and public safety-related services. PCPSAs will serve as additional eyes and ears for the City Marshal’s Office while maintaining professional relationships with all local law enforcement, code compliance, and other City entities.Qualifications: Must be at least 21. Pass a criminal background check and drug screen. Possess a valid driver’s license. Be able to walk or drive a golf cart. Certified or able to become certified in CPR/AED.Pay: $20 / hour based on experience/qualifications Work Times: M - F (3 pm to 11 pm) Sat & Sun (11 am to 11 pm) - Maximum 29 hours a week – Flexible SchedulingPatrol Areas: Main 2-acre Town Green, Town Center trails, Debbie Mason Memorial, playgrounds, Fort Pain, pedestrian bridge, dog park, parking deck, and bathrooms. Gear Provided: City on-duty cell phones, access to the City substation, golf cart, handheld radios for bigger events, and branded reflective vests with body cameras.Duties: Monitor activity in the Town Green area to ensure safe and compliant activityTraining Program: Those hired will participate in a paid training program provided by the City Marshal’s Office.
