Security Architect (AI Hardware)

Acceler8 Talent is partnering with a well-funded startup (>$600M Series B), backed by world-class investors, to hire an experienced Security Co-Design Architect.This team is building the next-generation compute platform for companies developing and running GenAI models. Led by engineers with deep expertise in AI infrastructure and large-scale compute systems, the company is developing vertically integrated solutions spanning silicon, systems, firmware, and software to power the world's largest AI workloads.You'll join a highly skilled engineering organization at the forefront of AI hardware innovation, owning end-to-end system security architecture across hardware and software platforms. This role will work cross-functionally with silicon, firmware, and software teams to define and implement secure, scalable infrastructure for next-generation AI systems.What You'll DoTranslate high-level security requirements into end-to-end system architectures across hardware, firmware, and software.Author detailed security architecture and design documentation spanning silicon, firmware, and software layers.Lead system-level threat modeling exercises and define mitigation strategies for complex AI infrastructure platforms.Drive hardware versus software security partitioning decisions and evaluate architectural tradeoffs.Define requirements for new hardware security capabilities and collaborate closely with silicon design teams on implementation.Design and review secure boot flows, roots of trust, key management systems, and isolation mechanisms.Lead cross-functional security reviews and provide risk-based guidance to engineering leadership and product teams.What We're Looking For10+ years of experience in system security, hardware security, or HW/SW co-design security architecture.Proven experience defining security architectures and writing technical design documentation for large-scale systems.Strong understanding of secure boot, roots of trust, cryptography, isolation technologies, and platform security concepts.Demonstrated ability to evaluate and implement hardware/software security tradeoffs across complex systems.Experience leading initiatives across multiple engineering teams in fast-paced hardware or infrastructure environments.Strong programming skills in Rust and/or C/C++, along with proficiency in Python.Experience working on high-performance compute systems, accelerators, or AI infrastructure is highly desirable.Why Join?Join a well-funded, fast-growing startup shaping the future of GenAI compute.Work alongside industry-leading architects and engineers building cutting-edge AI infrastructure.Hybrid role based in Mountain View, CA (3 days on-site).Opportunity to own and influence security architecture across the full AI hardware/software stack.
