Control System EngineerCincinnati, OHTerm - Direct HireSalary – $95,000 - $115,000 per annum + bonus We’re working with a growing automation and custom machinery business looking to add a Controls Engineer to their engineering team.This is a hands-on role focused on designing, programming, integrating, and supporting control systems for custom industrial equipment. You’ll be involved throughout the full machine lifecycle — from initial design through build, startup, and customer acceptance.It’s a great fit for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, working across teams, and seeing projects come to life on the shop floor and in the field.What You’ll Be Doing:Develop PLC and HMI programs using platforms such as Allen-Bradley and SiemensSupport electrical controls design including schematics, panel layouts, and documentationDebug, test, and support machinery during build, runoff, and startup phasesWork closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Manufacturing teams, Electricians, and Customers throughout project deliveryTroubleshoot controls-related issues both internally and in the fieldAssist with controls BOM creation and component selectionContribute ideas around new technologies, process improvements, and controls best practicesWhat They’re Looking For:Successful people in this role tend to be technically strong, practical problem-solvers who take ownership of projects and work well with others.You’ll likely have:Experience with PLC/HMI programming and industrial automation systemsStrong troubleshooting and debugging skillsThe ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectivelyExperience using AutoCAD Electrical or similar electrical CAD softwareAn Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent hands-on experiencePreferred ExperienceAllen-Bradley and/or Siemens controls experienceCapital equipment or custom machinery backgroundStartup, commissioning, or field service experienceWhy This Role?This position offers the opportunity to work on custom equipment projects from concept through completion, with plenty of exposure to machine integration, real-world problem solving, and cross-functional collaboration.For more information about this Control System Engineering role please apply, or email Jack Smillie on jsmillie@pg-rec.com who will be able to provide more details on the opportunity.Many thanks, Premier Group
