PPLIED focuses on simplifying and modernizing hiring through intelligent automation.Note: This position is being promoted by PPLIED on behalf of one of our onboarded recruiters and hiring partners.Role Description:The Mobile Application Engineer will design, develop, and maintain mobile applications that power PPLIED’s hands-free hiring experience across platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing new features, optimizing performance, fixing bugs, and ensuring a stable, secure, and user-friendly mobile experience. The role involves collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to translate requirements into well-structured, testable code, and to integrate APIs and data services. The engineer will also participate in code reviews, contribute to technical documentation, and help improve development processes and tools. This is a full-time remote role, requiring reliable communication, proactive problem-solving, and ownership of end-to-end mobile delivery.Qualifications:Software Development: Strong experience in mobile application development (e.g., iOS, Android, cross-platform frameworks), including coding, debugging, and integrating APIs.Testing: Proficiency in unit, integration, and UI testing for mobile apps, with a focus on quality assurance, reliability, and performance optimization.Technical Support: Ability to troubleshoot production issues, analyze logs, resolve user-reported problems, and collaborate with support teams to improve stability.Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering: Foundational understanding of hardware or embedded systems is a plus, especially for integrating mobile apps with external devices or sensors.Relevant skills and qualifications: Experience with version control (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and agile development; strong problem-solving and communication skills; ability to work independently in a remote environment; prior experience with hiring, HR tech, or SaaS platforms is a plus; bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
