This role ensures projects are properly planned, contracted, and financially managed while working closely with field leadership to support successful execution. The Project Manager plays a critical role in driving project performance through planning, procurement, design coordination, and communication, ensuring each project is aligned with both client expectations and company goals. Responsibilities:Financial ManagementOwn and manage overall project financial performanceDevelop and maintain project budgets, forecasting, and cost trackingManage billing, pay applications, and change ordersIdentify and mitigate financial risksSubcontractor BuyoutLead subcontractor buyout and contract executionDefine scopes of work and negotiate subcontract agreementsSelect subcontractors aligned with project budget and scheduleProject PlanningLead project startup and mobilization effortsAlign scope, schedule, budget, and resources prior to constructionEnsure the project is set up for successful executionDesign CoordinationCoordinate with architects, engineers, and consultantsOversee RFIs and submittals (with project engineer support)Resolve design issues and maintain alignment between design and fieldOwner CommunicationServe as the primary point of contact for the ownerLead meetings and provide consistent project updatesCommunicate financial status, schedule impacts, and key decisionsProject CloseoutLead financial and administrative closeoutReconcile final costs and ensure contractual completionCoordinate final documentation and turnoverWhat Success Looks LikeProjects are delivered on budget and on time with strong financial performanceSubcontracts are clearly defined and minimize riskOwners receive proactive, consistent communicationField teams are supported with clear plans, aligned documents, and timely decisionsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field5–10 years of experience in commercial construction project managementStrong experience managing project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and overall project performanceProven experience leading subcontractor procurement, scope definition, and contract negotiationSolid understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project documentationProficiency in construction software (Procore, Bluebeam, Excel, or similar tools)Strong financial and analytical capabilities with a detail-oriented mindsetEffective communicator with strong relationship management skills, both internally and with clientsAbility to manage multiple stakeholders, priorities, and deadlines simultaneouslyProactive problem-solver with sound judgment and decision-making abilityCollaborative mindset with the ability to support and align with field teams
