This is a hands-on role critical to keeping our operations running safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with strong mechanical aptitude and experience working on diesel engines in a fast-paced industrial environment. The essential job functions include, but are not limited to: Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel trucks (Class 7 & 8), including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and service according to manufacturer and company schedules. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. Weld and fabricate parts as needed. Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and parts inventory documentation. Ensure all work complies with DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards. Operate shop equipment and tools safely. Assist with other facility maintenance tasks as assigned. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice. Requirements Minimum 3+ years of professional experience as a Diesel Truck Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Mechanic. Strong knowledge of diesel engines (Cummins, Detroit, Caterpillar, etc.). Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required). Own basic set of hand tools and personal safety equipment. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in various weather conditions. Technical certification (e.g., ASE) is a plus. Physical Demands and Exposures Work is regularly performed in outside weather conditions, including rain and extreme cold and heat, near moving mechanical parts; exposure to high wind, ice, snow, wet and/or humid conditions, vibration, and dust is expected. Exposure to noise levels requiring the use of hearing protection. Prolonged sitting, standing, walking. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Ability to individually lift: Maximum 50 lbs.
