This is a critical backend engineering role where system reliability, data integrity, and production ownership are essential.The team follows a “You Build It, You Run It” model—engineers are responsible for feature development through production support and operational health. This is not a greenfield environment; the selected candidate will inherit and enhance existing systems and services.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain backend services supporting the enterprise account opening processDevelop scalable microservices using Java and Spring BootWork with Kafka in an event-driven architecture to support asynchronous data flowsDesign and develop robust REST APIs for internal and downstream integrationsContribute to backend solution design and architecture discussionsOwn production incidents end-to-end including triage, debugging, root cause analysis, and resolution.Independently pick up and deliver Jira tickets with minimal guidance.Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership through code reviews and best practices.Proactively identify blockers, risks, and improvement opportunitiesSupport production stability and ensure platform reliability/availability
