Position: Construction CoordinatorLocation: North Charleston, SCLength: Full timeRate: $50,000-$55,000/yr(Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education)Position OverviewInsight Global is seeking a detail-oriented Construction Coordinator to support residential construction operations by managing permitting documentation, coordinating plan sets, and acting as a liaison between internal teams and local municipalities. This role plays a critical part in ensuring homes move smoothly from planning through construction by keeping approvals, documentation, and schedules on track.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate, collect, process, and submit all permitting and plan-related documentation for residential construction projectsWork closely with municipalities, counties, and regulatory agencies to obtain required permits and approvalsAssist in compiling and verifying information needed for permit applications, including plot plans and structural selectionsTrack permit status, reschedules, and approvals to ensure construction timelines are metMaintain accurate lot files and ensure all permitting and plan documentation is complete and compliantSupport construction, planning, and resource scheduling teams by providing timely updates and documentationMonitor project progress using internal systems and ensure permit data is properly entered and maintainedEnsure document management practices align with compliance and internal controls (including SOX-related requirements, where applicable)Serve as a point of contact for permitting questions and status updates across internal and external stakeholdersQualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred1+ year of experience in construction permitting, plans coordination, or a related administrative roleFamiliarity with residential construction processes, permitting workflows, and municipal requirementsStrong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneouslyProficient with Microsoft Office and construction or scheduling software systemsStrong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external agenciesHighly organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environmentExperience with AutoCAD is a plus**
