Data Engineer, Analytics

We are hiring a Senior Data Engineer to join the Data Organization – Semantic Layer team supporting a large enterprise data platform. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Azure Data Engineering, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and Semantic Layer/Data Governance , with experience building secure, scalable, and compliant data solutions. This role focuses on designing enterprise semantic models, developing modern data pipelines, and ensuring compliance with enterprise security and governance standards. Required Experience 7+ years of Data Engineering experience. Minimum 6 months of experience with a FAANG/Product/Top Tier-1 company (Mandatory). Primary Skills Microsoft Fabric Snowflake Oracle Python Data Modeling Semantic Layer Development Key Responsibilities Design and develop enterprise Semantic Layer using Microsoft Fabric. Build scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks. Develop and optimize data models for enterprise reporting and analytics. Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS). Create reusable business metrics using DAX and Fabric capabilities. Build and maintain data lineage and governance standards. Ensure compliance with SOX, security, and enterprise data governance requirements. Collaborate with Data Architects, Business Analysts, Security, and Compliance teams. Develop scalable cloud-based data engineering solutions across Azure. Required Technical Skills Microsoft Fabric (Strong hands-on experience – Minimum 2 years) Snowflake Oracle Database Python SQL Data Modeling Semantic Layer Architecture DAX Data Governance ETL/ELT Development Preferred Skills Experience with enterprise data governance. Experience with Microsoft Fabric Semantic Models. Knowledge of SOX compliance and secure data handling. Exposure to cloud data platforms (Azure preferred). Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to lead technical discussions and mentor junior engineers.
