Flat Roofing Laborer

This job was posted by https://illinoisjoblink.illinois.gov : For moreInformation, Please Seehttps://illinoisjoblink.illinois.gov/jobs/13312467Duties: Install, repair, and maintain commercial low-slope and flatroofing systems, including single-ply membranes(TPO, PVC, EPDM),built-up roofing (BUR) systems, modified bitumen systems, insulation andcover boards, sheetmetal roofing, flashing, and edge details. Dutiesinclude preparing work areas by cleaning, clearing debris, and settingup safety barriers; preparing substrates, walls and roof decks forinstallation by ensuring surfaces are smooth, dry, and structurallysound; and assisting in the installation of extrusions, metal clips,insulation, andinstalling sheet metal flashings, edge trim, structuralsupport members (e.g., Z purlins), and accessories. Materials to beworked with (but not limited to) include substrate boards, TPO membranesand accessories, SBS roofing materials, insulation boards, fasteners(screws and plates), sheet metal flashings, sealants, asphalt shingles,structural supports (e.g., Z purlins). May operate equipment such asmanlifts, forklifts, extended boom forklifts(telehandlers), and othermaterial hoisting equipment as required if certified.
