Data Governance Principal - Remote

For our client, we are seeking a Data Governance Principal - Remote to join the team of a leader in the Hospitals & Medical Centers space. This role will turn data into practical insight that improves visibility, decision-making, and business performance. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a healthcare environment.Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship availableCompensation: $120,000 – $150,000 annuallyResponsibilities Lead the operational management of the Enterprise Data Catalog, ensuring quality control and updates Develop and implement a roadmap for catalog enhancements and feature evaluations Oversee the creation and governance of the Business Glossary through stakeholder engagement Establish a certification process for data and analytics assets Facilitate user engagement through training sessions and support initiatives Measure catalog usage and engagement using analytical tools like Alation Analytics Implement data governance frameworks for improved discoverability and complianceQualifications Minimum of 3 years experience in healthcare data management Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and HITRUST Ability to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively High emotional intelligence for navigating competing priorities and achieving consensus Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferredBenefits Remote work flexibility with occasional travel to New Orleans Opportunity to lead and shape enterprise data strategy in healthcare Chance to work with senior leadership and influence data governance processes Engagement with cross-departmental teams to enhance data quality practicesOur client is an equal opportunity employer.
