Nova Biomedical is hiring a Formulation Operator II on the Second Shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM - This includes a 10% Shift Differential) in our Waltham, MA facility. The Formulation Operation will be responsible for performing batch formulation of various calibrators, controls, and additional reagents required to support company produced and OEM analyzers by means of verbal and/or written instructions.Other Essential Responsibilities And Accountabilities IncludeOversee Formulation Operations in daily taskFormulation of various solutions including staging, weighing, and mixing of chemicals per assembly procedure (AP) and final batch adjustment and transfer of solutionsDocumentation - Accurate and complete record of batch formulation and formulation logsCleaning of formulation equipment, formulation bays and associated areaPerform incoming inspection of raw chemicals upon receiptMaintenance of formulation equipment and cleaning as neededOperation of the neutralization systemPerform basic SAP transactions as required for production orders and lot number assignmentQualifications Read and write English and follow written and verbal instructionsBasic mechanical aptitudeBasic knowledge of reverse osmosis and wastewater systems, lyophilization, and sterilization proceduresBasic knowledge of Quality System Regulations (QSR)Basic knowledge of OSHA safety standardsBasic knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)Basic knowledge of waste management as it relates to formulationPhysical Demands:Must be able to perform tasks that may involve for extended periods of time standings, sitting, pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting, turning, climbing steps and carrying up to 40 pounds several times/hours a day.Requires repetitive use of arms/wrist/hands while setting up/working with equipment/computer throughout the day.Will require use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and may include, but not limited to, safety glasses, safety shoes, lab coat, bouffant, gloves, hearing protection, face shield, nuisance mask, cartridge type respirator.Must have good hand/eye coordination and visual acuityMust be able to distinguish colorsSkills And CompetenciesFormulation Operator I SkillsAbility to obtain a Massachusetts Industrial Wastewater License Grade 2 desiredBasic knowledge of computers and MS Office Good written and verbal communication and leadership qualitiesEducation/ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent2-4 years' experience in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)2-4 years' experience as a Compounder/Formulation or comparable environmentBasic knowledge of SAP operation is desiredBasic knowledge of water purification system is a plus (RODI, Reagent Grade, USP)At Nova Biomedical, we practice our core values of mutual respect, honesty, and integrity throughout the company.
