Elementary Physical Education Teacher

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.In addition to the responsibilities and the duties of the classroom teacher (counselor, or media director), a Physical Education Teacher is responsible for the following:Develops lesson plans and organizes class time so that preparation, instruction, work, and clean-up activities can be accomplished within the allotted time.Guides pupils in selection of appropriate elective activities.Recommends purchase of and /or orders necessary equipment,supplies, and uniforms as appropriate.Oversees the safety and security conditions of the facility or area in which assigned activity is conducted at all times that students are present.Responsible for proper student conduct in all activities.Instructs students in safety procedures and in the safe use and care of equipment for each activity.Maintains control of storage and use of school-owned property.
