We're looking for full-time RN Unit Managers for 3p-11p and 11p-7a!No "on call"Supervisory roleDesk/clinical follow upLarge healthcare company, room for growth, we promote from within30 minutes from Boardman/Youngstown/CanfieldAgency free8-hour and 12-hour shifts$500 bonus for referring full-time employeesPTO accrual on day oneBenefits available for full timeMonthly staff engagement eventsWe welcome applicants to stop by weekdays 9:30 - 3:30 for open interviews or call (724) 981-6610 ext. 1113 to schedule in advancePersonnel Functions• Assist the Director of Nursing in determining and maintaining the staffing needs of the nursing service department.• Develop work assignments and schedule duty hours, and/or assist nursing supervisory staff in completing and performing such tasks.• Delegate to the Charge Nurses and Nurse Supervisors the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary to perform their assigned duties.• Make daily rounds of the nursing service department to ensure that all nursing service personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards.• Monitor absenteeism to ensure that an adequate number of nursing care personnel are on duty at all times.• Participate in developing, planning, conducting, and scheduling in-service training programsThe position will also have tasks relating to the following topics.• Safety and Sanitation• Equipment and Supply Functions• Care Plan and Assessment Functions• Budget and Planning Functions• Resident RightsWorking Conditions• Works in office area(s) as well as throughout the nursing service area (i.e., drug rooms, nurses' stations, resident rooms, etc.).• Is involved with residents, personnel, visitors, government agencies/personnel, etc., under all conditions and circumstances.• Works beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary• Is subject to call-back during emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.).• Maintains a liaison with the residents, their families, support departments, etc., to adequately plan for the residents' needs.Qualifications and Experience• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.• Experience in nursing administration as a Head Nurse, Supervisor, or comparable position.• Experience in Long Term Care or Geriatrics preferred.• At least two years of staff nursing, preferably in medical surgical care.Specific Requirements• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.• Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.• Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc., that are necessary for providing quality care.
