Preschool Afternoon Teacher Needed! (Santa Barbara)

We are looking for a Preschool Afternoon Teacher who is passionate, flexible, nurturing, collaborative and capable of creating a rich learning environment (including arts, science, music, nature/gardening, story and play) for children ages 3-5 years. The hours will be 12-5 pm or 1-5 pm, Monday through Friday. A love of children, parents, teamwork and emergent discovery is a MUST! Applicants MUST have a minimum of 12 ECE units. The best candidate has some teaching experience and is full of enthusiasm, compassion, strong values and work ethic, as well as a commitment to building a strong learning community and environment. Responsibilities include classroom management, organization and beautification of classroom and outside spaces, child assessments and clear communications with families. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs and must be mobile. We are a Jewish and play based program with a focus on social-emotional growth. Experience with Judaism and play based learning is a plus, but not required. **Applicant does not need to be Jewish! On-the-job training and knowledge of Jewish concepts can be provided**.
