Electrical Engineering Intern

Dover Flexo Electronics Inc. (DFE) in Rochester, NH is actively recruiting for an Electrical Engineer Intern. Local Candidates Only The Electrical Engineer intern will work alongside and assist design engineers on projects initiatives. As part of an interdisciplinary team, the intern will learn the process of product development, focusing on Electronics Hardware. Dover Flexo Electronics is a market leader for tension control products used in the web processing, printing and finishing industries. Dover Flexo Electronics produces maintains and produces its own amplifiers controllers and indicators to support this industry. This is a good role for a candidate who is a motivated learner and problem solver interested in electronic hardware design. Primary Responsibilities: Work with senior level design engineers to Design products for manufacturability, reliability, and assist with all aspects of electrical design tasks. Assist with prototyping and testing new products in current development. Work with senior level design engineers, Using provided schematics prove your capabilities in PCB layout by completing layout designs for production prototypes and test assemblies. Conduct simple schematic design as necessary for test equipment. Perform other duties as assigned. Education and/ or Requirements: Junior or Senior working toward Electrical Engineering or Computer Science Comfortable reading and interpreting schematics Proven PCB layout skills Experience using electrical test equipment such as multimeters, function generators, logic analyzer, protocol analyzer, DMM, and oscilloscope Experience using a soldering iron and knowledge of basic soldering techniques. Must be able to work both independently on occasion, and as part of a team Self-initiative with a sense of urgency, accountability, resiliency and persistence Willing to develop communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Motivated and creative problem solver Ability to multitask and maintain focus on priorities is a must Ability to work fulltime hours during summer months Salary DOE Desired Qualitfications: · Capable of embedded firmware development · PCB layout skills or familiarity preferably in Altium or Circuit Studio · Experience working with SolidWorks 3D CAD.
