CNC Operator

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a 2nd Shift CNC Operator. Pervan is an aerospace tooling shop based in Compton, CA with a focus on sheet metal, hydroforming, CNC punching, routing, brake forming, water jet, machining and assemblies. Responsibilities: Setting up and operating CNC machines Interpret technical drawings and instructions to understand the cutting patterns and specifications required for each job Select and install the appropriate nozzles, abrasive materials, and cutting parameters for different materials and thicknesses Load and secure materials, ensuring proper alignment and positioning. Monitor and adjust machine settings, such as pressure, speed, and nozzle height, to achieve accurate and precise cuts Participate in quality checks to ensure that finished products meet the required specifications and tolerances Troubleshooting and resolving any issues or malfunctions that may occur during operation Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, replacing worn or damaged parts, and replenishing abrasive materials Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Shop employees must wear eye protection, hearing protection, safety shoes, and gloves. Dress code for shop employees is shirt and pants. Requirements: At least 4 years of CNC operating experience with 3 & 5 axis machines Experience with precision measurement tools Experience reading blueprints for machined parts Ability to read and understand technical drawings and blueprints. Good manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials when necessary. Ability to communicate effectively in written/spoken English with coworkers and management.
