Manager, Regulatory & ComplianceLocation: On‐site - Gainesville, GA - No RelocationTravel: OccasionalJob Type: Full‐timeOverviewAn established and growing organization is seeking an experienced Manager of Regulatory & Compliance to lead product safety testing operations and ensure compliance with UL, CSA, IEC, and international safety standards. This is a role focusing on the UL Compliance of Electronics and tools. It is not a chemical or biological role. This role oversees engineering teams, manages lab operations, and plays a key role in standards development and industry collaboration.This position is ideal for a hands‐on leader with deep technical expertise, regulatory knowledge, and a passion for quality and compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, plan, and manage the Regulatory & Compliance Department, including safety testing operations for UL/CSA certificationSupervise Project Leaders and oversee multiple concurrent testing and compliance projectsDevelop and grow the department by hiring, training, and mentoring engineers, technicians, and administrative staffCoordinate procurement, setup, and maintenance of laboratory test equipmentEnsure implementation and compliance with a Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with ISO 17025Collaborate with internal engineering teams, technicians, and headquarters standards groupsParticipate in industry organizations and standards development committeesContribute technical expertise to regulatory strategy, audits, and compliance initiativesRequired QualificationsBachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical EngineeringMinimum 10 years of professional experience in product safety, compliance, or testing environmentsStrong working knowledge of UL, CSA, and IEC standardsExperience with safety standards development processesPrior people‐management and leadership experienceSolid understanding of electrical/electronic theory and circuit operationElectro‐mechanical aptitude, including equipment operation and troubleshootingProficiency with Microsoft OfficePreferred QualificationsBusiness or Management degree or formal leadership trainingExperience working within regulated laboratory or certification environmentsInvolvement in industry working groups or standards committeesSkills & CompetenciesStrategic and analytical problem‐solvingStrong project management and organizational skillsConfident communicator with technical and non‐technical stakeholdersVisionary leadership with the ability to manage changeHigh standards for quality, safety, and regulatory complianceAbility to thrive in deadline‐driven, multi‐project environmentsWork EnvironmentOn‐site role in a laboratory settingExposure to electronic and mechanical testing equipment and toolsModerate noise levels; adherence to safety procedures requiredOccasional lifting (up to 65 lbs) and hands‐on technical workWhy Consider This RoleHigh‐impact leadership positionInfluence product safety and regulatory outcomesCollaborate with industry experts and standards organizationsLead and develop a skilled technical teamLong‐term stability in a regulated, mission‐critical function
