Job Title: Rotating Equipment Assembly TechnicianPay Rate: $36.75/Hr.Duration: 9 MonthsLocation: Houston, TXShift: 6 AM to 4 PM Central TimeThis position is for the Power/Energy division.We are looking for an Rotating Equipment Assembly Technician for the assembly or disassembly of gas turbine and compressor packages, and related sub-assemblies and partsPerform all work in compliance with Energy safety standards and procedures.Review and interpret complex assembly instructions, specifications, and blueprints.Inventory, clean, stage, and visually inspect components to prepare for assembly.Safely offload and handle parts using proper rigging/lifting equipment.Assemble structural components for SGT 100–400, A 35/A 65, and associated compressor packages using approved tools and methods.Take precision measurements and adjust to meet required tolerances; document all measurement results.Identify issues or deviations and notify management or engineering.Perform and document simple maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs according to specifications.Collaborate with engineering and management to refine assembly best practices.Train and mentor less experienced Assembly Technicians.Make part adjustments using machining techniques as required.Cross-train and assist in test and packaging departments as needed.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.Follow all company work instructions and quality control program requirements.Requirements:High School Diploma or GED (OR 10 years of relevant Gas Turbine and Compressor experience).5+ years of relevant experience in the assembly of rotating equipment in a manufacturing environment.Preferred expertise in Energy turbomachinery equipment assembly, including:SGT 100–400A 35 / A 65 Gas Turbine and compressor packagingRF and Datum range turbo compressorsSkilled in developing and interpreting technical assembly instructions, building methods, and sequencing of core compressor internals and auxiliaries.Ability to inspect, repair, replace, install, and maintain mechanical components and assemblies for gas turbines and compressor packages.Able to work collaboratively with Engineering, QC, Material Control, and production crafts.You must maintain and comply with all EHS standards.Experience performing alignments, parts installation, measurements, and machining adjustments to meet required tolerances (±0.001?).Ability to use micrometers, indicators, hand tools, air grinders, and overhead lifting devices.Level bases.Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without employer-sponsored authorization.Certifications :OSHA 10 certificationCraneForklift/Scissor Lift
