We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Production Support Engineer to support critical enterprise applications in a 24/7 production environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving production issues while ensuring system stability and SLA compliance.Key Responsibilities:Monitor daily batch jobs and online systems using tools like Control-M and SDSFTroubleshoot and resolve production issues, abends, and job failures in a timely mannerPerform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for recurring issuesProvide L2/L3 support for mainframe applicationsWork closely with development, QA, and infrastructure teams for issue resolutionHandle incident, problem, and change management through tools like ServiceNow or JIRASupport deployment activities and validate post-production releasesMaintain documentation, runbooks, and standard operating proceduresParticipate in on-call rotation and provide off-hours support when requiredRequired Skills:Strong experience in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2Hands-on experience with TSO/ISPF, SDSFKnowledge of job scheduling tools like Control-M / CA-7Experience in handling production support (L2/L3)Strong debugging and problem-solving skillsFamiliarity with incident management tools (ServiceNow, JIRA)
