As an Occupational Medicine Physical Therapist Aide, you will be responsible for providing support to the Physical Therapist in the delivery of patient care. Duties include, but are not limited to, setting up and breaking down equipment, assisting patients with exercises, and providing general clerical support. Essential Functions:Set up and break down equipment for physical therapy treatments.Assist patients with exercises and activities of daily living.Provide general clerical support, such as scheduling appointments, filing paperwork, and answering phones.Maintain a clean and organized treatment area.Follow all safety procedures and protocols.Document patient progress and report any changes to the Physical Therapist.Build rapport with patients and their families.Any other duties assigned by manager.Qualifications:Ability to follow instructions and work independently.Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.Must be detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.Must be able to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities.Education and License/Certification:High school diploma or equivalent.Must have completed a PT Aide program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) or enrolled into a PT Assistant program or 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting.CPR Certification.Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and walk for extended periods of time.Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.Must be able to bend, squat, push, stoop, and pull as needed especially in fulfilling patient care activities.Must be able to work in a variety of positions, including sitting, standing, and kneeling. xhyhwjd Must be able to meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility, including physical examination.
