Data Quality & ETL Validation AnalystThe client's data and analytics team works across the organization to ensure investments are grounded in evidence and measurable outcomes. The team fosters a culture of data-driven decision-making by building a clear understanding of programs, the evidence associated with those investments, and by generating new insights through program evaluation and an enterprise data analytics platform.The Data Quality & ETL Validation Analyst works with the client's data team to complete the migration of a legacy data system from an on-premises server to the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment. Working directly with the Chief Evaluation Officer, the Data Quality & ETL Validation Analyst leverages expertise in GCP, data systems, and modernization projects to perform rigorous testing of migrated data to ensure standards and requirements are met and the data has been migrated successfully. The Data Quality & ETL Validation Analyst works directly with the client's internal technology team to perform testing.Duties and ResponsibilitiesBelow is a list of responsibilities that—while not comprehensive—provides an overview of the duties of the Data Quality & ETL Validation Analyst:Provide user acceptance testing of newly migrated system, running queries and validating resultsPromptly communicate any issues uncovered during testing to the data and technology teamsMonitor and provide any support needed to the technology team to ensure all identified issues are resolved in a timely mannerEnsure data quality, reliability, and performance across the systemEnsure all business requirements are metOther related duties as assignedThe Data Quality & ETL Validation Analyst reports to the Chief Evaluation Officer.Skills and QualificationsExpertise in the full data lifecycle, including data discovery, collection, management, and analysisExperience with relational databases, including those housed in Microsoft SQL Server, Google Cloud Platform, and BigQueryExperience interpreting and applying business rulesExtensive experience in system user acceptance testing, interpreting business requirements, and database administrationStrong verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to bridge the gap between data science, business management, and technical development and operationsFamiliarity with project management software like JiraExpertise querying databases and using statistical computer languages such as SQL and familiarity with R, Python, and Stata programming languagesStrong situational analysis and decision-making abilitiesAbility to think strategically, problem-solve, juggle multiple priorities, and remain attentive to detailsDemonstrated project management and organizational skillsOwnership of results, with a standard for excellenceBachelor's Degree and 2+ years' experience in database management of on-premise and cloud data systems and implementation of business requirements and best practices for user acceptance testingGoogle Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification or equivalent preferred
