On our team, you'll have the support to excel at work and the resources to build a career you can be proud of.Day Shift: Monday - Friday ; 7:30am - 4:00pmAs the Data Center Logistics Associate position offers an opportunity to play a critical role in the seamless operation of our data center. This position is vital to ensuring efficient data center operation and requires a candidate who excels in managing inventory, coordinating shipments, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.What you'll do on a typical day:Inventory ManagementReceive, inspect, and accurately record all incoming inventory, including racks & trays, networking equipment, and other hardwareMaintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper documentation for all items received and shippedPerform regular stock counts and reconcile discrepanciesShipping and ReceivingCoordinate with suppliers and carriers to schedule inbound and outbound shipmentsPrepare shipping documents, labels, and packaging for outgoing shipmentsUpload, unpack, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and completenessTransport inventory by hand using material handling equipment (i.e. pallet jacks) in accordance with all safety procedures and protocolFacility Maintenance* Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including storage areas and shipping/receiving docks* Assist with the disposal of packaging materials and obsolete equipment as neededCompliance and Safety* Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure working environment.* Compile with Data Center security measures and access controlsSupport and CollaborationCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including data center operations, procurement, and technical support, to fulfill inventory and logistics needsProvide support for special projects or initiatives as directed by managementComplete other duties that may be assigned as required with consideration for quality, safety and efficiencyAssemblyAssist in the setup and installation of computer server racks according to provided instructionsHelp in the assembly of server racks by following diagrams and guidelines provided by senior team membersHandle basic tools and equipment safely and effectively to complete installation tasks.Support senior technicians in cable management and organization within the server racksWhat you need to succeed at GXO:At a minimum, you'll need:To be at least 18 years of ageHigh school diploma or equivalent1 year of experience in logistics, inventory management, or related fieldsFamiliarity with inventory management systems and software, as well as proficiency in using basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word)The ability to do basic math calculations, with and without a calculatorAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural documentsFamiliarity with proper lifting techniques and the use of material handling equipment such as forklifts pallet jacksIt'd be great if you also have:Additional education or certification in logistics, supply chain management, or a related fieldStrong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively and safely in a team settingEnsure a positive, respectful, and professional attitude if everything you doAvailability to work a flexible schedule, including possible overtime when neededThis job requires the ability to:* Ability to lift and move heavy material and perform physical tasks related to handling server trays and server racks* Use power equipment to assist the team with safely moving very heavy server racks into position in accordance with established protocols and safety guidelinesWe engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.GXO is a leading provider of cutting-edge supply chain solutions to the most successful companies in the world.
