Material Handler Forklift Operator

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of materials and products within our distribution center. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, safety protocols, and mechanical knowledge to ensure smooth and safe handling of goods. Duties Operate tow motors safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the stamping facility. Load, unload, and transport raw materials, work-in-progress items, and finished products. Perform routine inspections of tow motors and report any maintenance issues. Ensure materials are delivered to the correct production areas on time. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of materials. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations. Qualifications Previous experience in warehouse distribution or related fields is preferred. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including forklifts, cranes, and order pickers. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues. Experience with warehouse management systems is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) consistently throughout the shift. Knowledge of shipping & receiving processes is beneficial. A valid forklift operator certification is highly desirable.
