Job Title: Experienced Welder Division: Wire Carrier Location: Plant Reports To: Current Supervisor Job Type: Full Time / 40hrs per weekJob SummaryExperienced welder must be able to read travelers and prints for fabrication of wire carriers products.Weld and assemble parts to the instructions on the traveler to customer’s requirements. Compares product with blueprint or other specifications, and makes or directs changes in setup to keep product with specified tolerances. Must maintain a clean work environment. Conducts QC checks to examine parts for defects to maintain qualitative standards.RequirementsExperience: 2+ Years Fabrication Experience Education: HS DiplomaResponsibilitiesPerform welding tasks using MIG and TIG processes based on project requirementsRead and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine welding specificationsSet up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and tools in safe working conditionInspect materials and completed welds to ensure compliance with quality standards and specificationsIdentify and repair defects such as cracks, porosity, or misalignmentFollow all safety procedures and guidelines, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)Maintain a clean and organized work environment to support safety and efficiencyWork with supervisors to complete projects on timeTroubleshoot issues and adjust welding techniques or equipment as neededEnsure all work complies with applicable industry codes and standardsSkillsProficient in multiple welding processes, including MIG and TIGStrong ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbolsSolid understanding of metal properties, fabrication techniques, and heat controlSkilled in the use of measuring tools and basic math (fractions, decimals, angles, and tolerances)Ability to accurately cut, fit, and assemble metal components to specificationStrong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality weldsAbility to inspect completed work and identify issues such as cracks, distortion, or porosityStrong problem-solving skills and ability to adjust techniques as neededStrong commitment to workplace safety, including proper use of PPE and adherence to safety regulationsAbility to work independently and manage time to meet deadlinesDependable, with a strong work ethic and consistent attendanceFamiliarity with industry standards and codes (e.g., AWS, ASME) preferredRelevant welding certifications are a plusPhysical RequirementsMust be able to stand for 10 hrsMust be able to lift up to 100lbsMust be able to identify quality control issuesMust be able to weld and make quality welds as required by specificationsMust be able to read blue prints and produce fabrication with quality resultsMust be able to read a tape measureMust be able to read caliper’s and use all instruments and setups to fabricate partsMust work well with othersApply
