The position will support dynamic, agile projects implementing a SecDevOps approach across all phases of the software development lifecycle, to include design, development, test, and operational support/user feedback. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently as well as within a team setting on the design, implementation, and maintenance/troubleshooting of new and existing software solutions.The candidate must be self-motivated, a self-learner, and able to work well within a dynamic schedule. They must be able to effectively communicate with various team members, customers, and vendor support. They should leverage modern industry-standard technologies in engineered solutions and provide status of design efforts. The Software Development Engineer may be expected to support more than one project at a time, bringing their knowledge and experience to help not only their primary project but also support other projects to address critical issues and challenges.Experience And Skills3-5 years software engineeringBS in SE, CS, EE, CE, or other engineering equivalentJava and/or C/C++ programmingExperience with both Linux and Windows platforms highly preferredBackend development experience with front-end implementationsScripting in Python, Bash, Power ShellAbility to learn, take ownership, and deliver high-quality results in an unstructured environmentExperience using Atlassian toolsExperience working in an Agile software development environmentExperience in scoping effort to accomplish a taskAbility to effectively work in a team (IPT) environmentA minimum of an active SECRET clearance is required, with the ability to obtain a TSPreferred Skills And ExperienceNetwork programming, Multi-threaded programming and/or client-server programmingExperience in Sec/Dev/Ops design and implementationDocker/Container & Kubernetes design and implementation knowledge and experience on premise and cloudCI/CD Pipeline implementationExperience designing software solutions to complex engineering problemsExperience leading teams in software development, and mentoring/coaching newer software engineersExperience defining and developing requirements with customersExperience designing/architecting a solution to satisfy them, and developing the test methodology to verify themTS ClearanceExperience in GUI (frontend), can be in Javascript, PHP or otherExperience using Angular and/or React JS frameworksExperience in C#Solid understanding of SQL and relational database applicationsSalary RangeCompetitive salary based on experience and education.
