Optical Engineer

A company is looking for an Optical Engineer to focus on research, development, and assessment of optical sensor systems for U.S. Naval ISR missions. Key Responsibilities Carry out technical management, design, development, and operation of sensor systems and processing algorithms Develop and analyze spectral target detection, classification approaches, and machine learning models for image processing Generate documentation of research results and support collaboration with technology experts Required Qualifications, Training, and Education PhD in a relevant field 1-2 years of experience in optical and active sensing systems Knowledge of mathematical techniques and algorithms for signal processing and computer vision Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, and MATLAB Experience with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch
